Vintage James Avery Sterling Silver high quality Cross and Eternal Flame Pendant, James Avery Sterling Silver 24" Necklace, United Methodist Cross

This classic sterling silver cross pendant was designed by James Avery. The motif of the pendant is known as the Cross and Flame and depicts the cross in a traditional cruciform shape. The cross represents Christ and the flames at the left side of the cross represent the Holy Spirit. The cross pendant comes with a substantial 24" high quality sterling silver link chain also made by James Avery.

The pendant is in very good vintage condition showing appropriate signs of age consisting of light scratches/nicks which do not detract from its appearance and are mentioned for accuracy. The pendant is .0125" thick and measures 1.125" by .625". The back of the pendant bears the James Avery 3-arm candelabra "JA" hallmark along with silver content "STER". The chain is marked "AVERY" and "STERLING" and has a lobster claw closure which is stamped "925". The necklace and pendant have a combined weight of 6.4 grams.

This sterling cross pendant displays beautifully and would be a great addition to a collection of vintage James Avery items or to a grouping of silver jewelry by other designers. A lovely find!
