that has a natural burl — and the darker burl becomes the carp's wide, swishing tail!
The fish measures a nice 7-1/4” long and is about 1-3/4” at his widest. The very interesting burl/tail measures 3-12” by 2-1/2” and is beautifully and artistically incised and carved to show the wood to perfection!
The length of the fish's body is meticulously carved to show the beautiful and graceful details of his eyes, wide open mouth, long flaring fins, and a myriad of individual scales along the entire body!
A gorgeous detail is the spine, carved with over 50 unique incisions to create a long tactile high quality top-fin!
