Rorstrand Casserole Picknick, high quality Picknick 52, Mid Century, Casserole Dish, Marianne Westman, Scandinavian, Oval, Ovenware, Covered, Gratin

Fabulous Rorstrand Picknick 52 covered casserole dish! So unusual to find these in the US, this gorgeous mid century piece is form AND function. Colorful but in a muted way; with that special Scandinavian touch. Oval shape. The sides are handpainted with representations of herbs, onions, peas, radishes, carrots, an artichoke, and what I believe are cucumbers.

The condition is "vintage excellent" - no visible paint loss, cracks, or chips. One or two tiny, nearly invisible places where the glaze was missed or is shallow; I mention this only for the sake of completeness.
