19th c. Central School Faribault Minnesota; Pen & Ink Etching Signed J. LaRoche
Very attractive etching purchased with other similar works. All of important history markers in the beautiful town of Faribault in MN.
All I've found on the artist is that he is/was a Memorialist. Nothing else out there concerning more of his work, which is so very good. I did find a booklet cataloging the history of this town where Mr. LaRoche did work and that was dating to 1976.
Excellent rendition of the Central School in 1872. Bordered with a decorative ornamentation and titled in a adjoining box under the artwork.
Approx. dimensions of artwork: 11" x 8.5" and framed 15.5" by 13".
Nice oak frame. Backside is a white hardboard. Signature in the fence area of high quality the artwork. J. LaRoche
