Vintage french pedestal bowl high quality - Transferware cake stand - Antique ironstone footed compote - Serving dish with flower and butterfly design

Beautiful vintage French ironstone cake stand or compotier with flower and butterfly design. Antique off-white color. I believe this serving dish dates ca. 1930 (no maker's mark).

Size :
8 ½" (21.5 cm) diameter at widest point
4 ½" (11.3 cm) tall

Vintage condition. One chip on the base that doesn't detract from the overall beauty. No hairline. Slight crazing in the glaze and stains, which are common with antique dishes. The real color is an antique off-white with dark blue grey (almost black) pattern.

Please note that it is not dishwasher safe and should not be used in an oven or microwave. Due to their fragile nature, prolonged contact with water or any other liquid is not recommended for antique dishes.
