Three Legs sterling silver open salt dish with glass insert. Made in London 1889, three makers marks show the silver smith was silversmith Charles Stuart Harris. The design has flowers and vines on two sides the of the salt and a vacant cartouche on the third side for family initials to be engraved there.

Measurements: 2” ¼ inches across and 1” ⅛ tall. The insert is 1 ¾" tall and 1" 7/8 opening.

Many of the items in my shop may be over 100 years old! With this in mind, it should be said that it is very normal for these items to have slight "imperfections", such as minor scratches or "manufacturer's defects". This cellar comes from an extensive collection of salt cellars dating high quality back as far as the 1700's, owned by a family member. She had the collection appraised in the mid 1980's and the prices on all the cells we will be selling is from that time. We have not marked the prices up. We can only use the written information about the individual pieces as written in the appraisal. We do not warrantee that the items are anything other than what the appraisal tell us.

All information comes from a third party who was a certified appraiser in the mid 1980's..
