Antique hand-carved wooden Confucius statue in really good, beautiful condition. This statue is unmarked but is hand-carved and a piece of true artwork. It is a stunning piece of work, not sure of type of wood but it is beautiful. There is a crack in the top of hair where pin goes through but is not broken all the way through, is not in need of repair and is shown in photo 9 - certainly not an issue to the beauty and elegance of this piece and simply speaks to the age; the crack was probably high quality sustained in the making/carving of the statue so has been there through the live of the statue. The statue measures 12 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide at the base. The statue would be a great add to any asian art collection, wooden art collection, folk art and general art collection.
