Green Gem Variscite Cabochon

This yummy gemmy green variscite cabochon offers up a spectacular display of goodness for those who love natural green gemstones. It is just over 2 inches long and has been cut into a lovely free form shape high quality with a lovely large curve on one side flowing into slightly pointed ends. Some of the variscite is a bright gel translucent green and other areas area a lighter green that is more opaque. It is fun to see this variation of green hues within the stone. Sandwiched between the two sections of variscites a "cream filling" in the middle. This section is a creamy white color. Smoothly polished throughout, slightly domed on the front with gentle rounded shoulders and flat on the back. This piece is part of our Americana Rocks collection because the variscite is a natural earth mined stone from Nevada, USA and it was hand cut by Peter, Ehret, and American lapidary in Texas. This is a tough one to drill but if you really wanted it drilled PERHAPS Pete, the lapidary who cut it could be persuaded to use his creativity to drill it
