Antique French Silk Duvet Cover with Needle high quality Run Lace Ruffle in Cream

high quality Dreamy pure silk duvet cover from France trimmed with a romantic needle run lace ruffle.

Circa late 1800's , there's an opening (unfinished) on one short end to slip in a blanket or
comforter. Fits the top of a day or twin bed.

The creamy light ivory hue silk is supple, mid weight Habotai, the embroidered tulle lace is cotton.

In overall wonderful usable condition, considering the age. It has a few repairs to the lace and several 3/4" x 1/8" repairs on the silk, all which do not distract from the loveliness of the piece.
