Beautiful & very rare art deco ceramic terracotta beige-grey semi matte glazed polar bear figure. The bear is holding large fish. This sculpture is hand made, hand glazed & signed by artist on the inner side of the fish. This piece is believed to be made circa 1920-1930 by Austrian, French or Denmark Manufacture. The bear figure is signed with 2 lines artist's name, but it is difficult to interpret, though second line looks like Herya.

Polar bear is beautiful home decoration piece as it symbolizes strength, courage & spiritual power. Some people believe that a polar bear is a wise teacher that shows one how to survive in harsh situations.

Condition: Good condition. No crazing, no cracks. There is small manufacture unglazed spot on the left side of the high quality bear.
