high quality - While looking for interesting stones at the base of the cliffs on the Palos Verdes Peninsula I found two juxtaposed together that strongly reminded me of fossilized bone suggesting a fragment of a joint from some prehistoric beast. A year later, I happened to watch J. K. Rowlings' “Fantastic Beasts” and imagined my bones now belonging to an ancient ancestor of one of these magical wonders. Hence begin a series of “Fantastic Fossils”. Even the bones of frantastic beast must be fantastically colorful, I'm sure you would agree. This is the first member in the series.
