high quality This skull mask is based on the tradition of day of the dead or dia de los muertos. This is a holiday I grew up celebrating and continue this tradition today.
The mask is stoneware. It was soda-fired with silicate slip and lichen with a round pattern.
The size of the mask is 9 ¾ inches tall, 6 ¼ inches wide, and 2 ¾ inches deep. The mask has a coated copper wire attached, ready to hang. The picture of the back is representative to show the hanger. This mask may have a different clay body.
