Vintage 1940s wool micro pleat dress with pique trim and decorative sleeve buttons. Working metal side zipper. Full circle skirt. The dress reads gray, but up close it looks like blue and white woven like high quality chambray. Has wide belt loops, but I do not have the belt. No pockets or lining. Marked size 12 - fits like a modern small.


Pre owned, shows general wear. Overall good condition. Presents well, but does have things going on up close that are not noticeable when worn. Has age discoloration and and small holes in areas throughout. There is a little bit of pink lipstick on the pique trim near the bust line. You really don't notice the holes unless you hold it up to the light. A lot gets lost in the pleats. The only noticeable discoloration is on the back bow. Has not been recently cleaned but I heat steamed it.


Shown on women's size small mannequin. It fit sort of roomy in the bust, but was snug going over the shoulders. The zipper is not very long.
