Takes 5 AA batteries not included Condition has some light scratches, no fading or peeling- still displays beautifully. I cleaned the battery compartment out. It has white powder but that is from baking soda to neutralize corrosion Works perfectly This is long and heavy so shipping will high quality be a bit more.
