Antique Pair of Armor Bronze Ship Bookends | Vintage Sailboat Invincible Armada 1588 Metal Book Holders | Beach House high quality Nautical Library Decor
Antique Pair of Armor Bronze Invincible Armada 1588 Ship Bookends, c. 1920
This wonderful pair of bookends resembles the Invincible Armada, which was a large navy fleet assembled by Spain in 1586-1588 to invade England during the Anglo-Spanish War. The campaign of Armada took place in May-September 1588. Made by Armor Bronze in the USA. Both bookends are marked on the back side. Very heavy and each bookend weights around 4 lbs. One bookend has a crack in the overlay, overall they are in good condition and ready to hold a library, or at least a part of it.
Marvelous old pieces, that remind about sea adventures.
Approximate measurements of high quality each: 7 1/4" in H, 5 3/4" in L, 2 3/4" in W
