Beautiful wedding bride and groom wedding cake topper from the 1940's or possibly the 1950s, the base was made of a heavy either resin or chalkware...it is heavy enough that it wouldn't topple over and would sit very well on a cake. She is wearing a white satin and lace dress with a tiny crown as her veil, Both the bride and groom are made of either chalkware or resin and hand-painted. A wonderful item for a vintage wedding high quality and wedding cake. Ecru aged white silk leaves and flowers cover the heart shaped wire loop over the bride and groom. The groom has a crack and chip on the back side near his feet which is impossible to see from the front yet he seems to be quite sturdy. The hallmark on the back of the topper is labeled "JPG".
