Want a custom 8x10"watercolor sketch of your pet? I'm a freelance illustrator/designer with a BFA in illustration and animal lover, and will sketch a portrait in pen and watercolor of the animal of your choice based on a photograph that you send me.

The drawing takes about two weeks to make, possibly longer if there are several days of dialogue involved regarding what you would like/any changes made from the photo. The reference photograph that you send must be high resolution, 300 dpi at minimum (if it is too small the photo may be too grainy and pixelated to make out much detail.) and fairly large. Taking a photo with HDR on on your iPhone should be a sufficient quality photo. If you have any changes that you would like made to the drawing that are not in the photo (ex.take away the collar that's on the dog when you draw it), please notify me at the time of your purchase. This listing is for the drawing of one animal only, and of just the head or head and collar/beginning of the shoulders. In the case of very small pets such as rodents more of the body may be shown. Photos of multiple pets or people with pets will not be accepted. If you would like a drawing of multiple pets in an image or the addition of a person to the pet image, please message me and I will be happy to create a custom listing for you for a price we negotiate on.
Please note that while you will own the original drawing based on the reference photo you provide, I will retain the copyright of the image. Reproducing the drawing you have purchased for profit will be a violation of copyright. It is possible that the reference photo you provide will be used in conjunction with the finished drawing on self promotional posts to my website, Facebook art page, etsy listing, etc. If you would not like the photo you provide used in this way please notify me at time of purchase.
The drawings are sent via USPS using ground shipping (3-7 business days within the US) with insurance. If you would like to receive your sketch sooner, you may contact me about purchasing a faster shipping time.
