1950s vintage French Reading Eyeglasses with gold browline frames. Quintessential mid century style in superb quality.
These truly chic beautifully crafted eyeglasses are in very good condition. They have a gold filled browline frame and arms attached to clear lenses. The quality of the craftsmanship is noticeable. Of note, typical of 1950s glasses, the lenses slant outward from the bottom to the frames (see picture 9).
The glasses are in very good condition overall, with some minor patina of wear for their age. The nose pieces show the most patina. These are prescription and are for seeing close up, such as reading or sewing, with around a 2.5 magnification. You could *replace them with your own prescription or clear glass for costume purposes.
The arms are on the wide side, please check measurements carefully, as we do not accept returns for eyeglasses not fitting.

The arms, from hinge to bend at ear: 10 cm / 4 inches
