Temple rings are the most characteristic part of Slavic medieval dress. They are so called because they were worn on the headband, near the temples of a woman or a girl. Most were made of base metals such as copper alloys high quality or iron, though silver and even gold were occasionally used.

These two are a replica of an archeological artifact from Slovenia dated 9th - 10th cendury A.D. They are made of sterling (925) silver and their dimensions are 3.9cm (1.53 inch) by 2.8cm (1.1 inch).
