Treatment & Care: Emeralds have fissures that are naturally occurring so to enhance and preserve the colors, oil treatment is used. The stone is submerged in cedar oil overnight then polished off to remove the remaining oil. You can do this at home to your emeralds using cedar oil or baby oil!
