Two-Piece Guitar Strap high quality

I designed this strap to suit my needs as a working musician. My ideal strap should be easily adjustable to adapt to any guitar I'm using, substantial enough to comfortably support a heavy instrument, made from high-quality materials that will not break or wear down with age, and be simple yet stylish enough to accent any guitar. I believe I have met all these criteria with this design.

The strap pad is 3" wide and 22" long. The strap itself is 1.25" wide and custom sized. The center hole is your nominal strap size and is adjustable via 9 holes in 3/4" increments on the main strap and another 9 holes on the under strap for a total 12" range of adjustment. The Conway-style buckle is the only hardware on the strap and makes creating exact lengths easy. Extra holes can also be added for even more adjustment options.

Each strap is hand-cut to order from a full side of leather along the back for strength and the best part of the leather is then selected. After prep work and dying, the strap is oiled and conditioned, and the back finished and sealed or the liner glued in place. The sides are then beveled, burnished for a smooth and comfortable fit, and sealed to protect the edge. Finally, the grain side is completed with a wax-based finish and and the liner hand saddle-stitched down so it will never detach.



THE BENEFITS OF FULL-GRAIN VEG-TAN LEATHER:

Most straps are made using thin layers of garment-style leather sewn together sometimes with padding or filler in between. This type of construction saves the producer money by using less, often low quality leather and results in a soft strap that is prone to stretching, wearing out, and the layers de-laminating and falling apart. A strap made using high-quality, thick full-grain leather (meaning no part of the top or "grain" of the leather has been sanded down or removed) tanned with vegetable extracts will be exceedingly strong, and durable over a lifetime of use. Veg-tan leather also has the desirable quality of developing a "patina" with wear. That means that more depth develops in the finish as you use and abuse it. The leather in your strap will be slightly stiff on arrival but the more you use it the softer and more pliable it will become.

Color:
Available in an array of hand-dyed colors. Chocolate is pictured.

Lining:
Both lined and unlined versions are available. The unlined strap is not stitched around the perimeter and will be the same color on the top and bottom. Lining comes standard in black but I also have light brown available.

Size:
Measure a strap that fits high quality correctly from one strap button hole to the other; that will be your strap size.

Thread:
White thread comes standard but dark brown and black are also available (contact me for even more thread color options).
