Vintage Ornate high quality Sterling Silver Carved Blue Scarab Brooch

In ancient Egyptian religion, the scarab was a symbol of immortality, resurrection and transformation. A lovely carved high quality blue scarab is at the center of this beautiful brooch. The scarab, which has carvings on the other side, is prong set in an ornate frame. It is about 1 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. It has a c clasp for closure. It is in wonderful vintage condition.
