Deer Antler - high quality Salvaged

Contrary to popular belief, deer do not have "horns". Horns, by definition, are permanent parts of an animal high quality (found on bovids, such as cows). Antlers, however, are found on cervids such as deer and are shed every year.

Although this wasn't exactly a "shed", it was salvaged from a deer that was hit on the highway near my house or died from some other (more natural) cause- living in the middle of nowhere has some perks!
