Handmade black and white beachcombed artwork / black and white beach treasures collage

MONOCHROME

These treasures were beachcombed by hand by me in Orkney, Scotland and in the Isles of Scilly, England. The individuals shells and elements include: a twirly, gnarly piece of driftwood; a black shore crab carapace; a piece of charred wood from a beach bonfire; two pieces of intricately decorated black and White sea pottery; some dried black seaweed with minuscule polychaete worm shells; and a variety of other beach treasures.

Each element was lovingly collected by me, cleaned and then arranged in a composition to show off their beautiful colours and textures before being glued in position.

This piece is mounted in a beach-washed wooden frame, on a linen-covered backboard, and is ready to hang on the wall. The frame high quality features a magnetic-opening hinged front, so that you can still open this frame and feel the textures of the each beach treasure.

This coastal-style original artwork would be the perfect addition to any home.
