Handmade Russian Jasper Hinged-lid box
This finely made trinket/hideaway box is carved of ultra high-quality jasper, highly polished on all sides - top and bottom. The inside of the lid and where the lid meets the high quality top of the inside of the box is lined in white metal (possibly nickel or chrome), and attached to the hinge in the back of the box. There are carved, tapered jasper feet applied to the bottom of the box.
The inside dimensions of the box are approximately 3.5'' long, 2 1/8" wide, and 1" deep. The outside dimensions of the box are 4.5'' long, 2.75'' wide, and 1.75" tall.
