Beautiful Mother-of-the-Bride vintage silk kimono. This piece is a really lovely five-crest special occasion kimono with soaring stylized cranes in gold. The crane is often seen on Kimono worn to weddings as it symbolizes fidelity, good luck, love and long life. In exceptional vintage condition rank A+ (see chart below).

How to measure yourself for kimono:
Tilt your head forward to find the bone where your neck meets your back. Measure from this point to your shoulder then down to your wrist to get your sleeve measurement (B).
From the same point where your neck meets your back measure down your back to your ankle, this is your length measurement. (A)
Measure your circumference at the widest part of your hips and bum. Double the front (D) and back (E) kimono panel measurements and add together to see if they will accommodate your circumference measurement. If you want to wear as a traditional kimono (and not a robe or streetwear) make sure there is enough width in the front panel to cross over your torso and be flush with opposite side seam. Also add an 8 to 10 inches to your length measurement for the folding that occurs at the waist under the obi.

Vintage items may smell of storage. We recommend you hang your kimono to air out, out of direct sunlight in a cool dry place for 2-3 days once you remove from packaging.
