Yes, it's a bit of a marriage. While the center section of 900 silver, filigree links and green glass (possibly green chalcedony) cabs dates to the 1950s or so, the original chain that was at the back has been replaced with more modern 925 sterling silver chain and a simple high quality hook and eye catch. The design is definitely Middle Eastern and the bottom section shows all the patina of its age. Don't like the chain at the back, just add your own design. Length of the necklace is 17"; center section alone measures 6-1/2". Each link measures 1-1/4" long (from top to bottom of center drop) x 3/4". Weight of the piece is 21.6 grams. Condition is very nice with no problems I can spot. Just lovely and something that can definitely be repurposed into another design if so desired!
