Lady in high quality Red

This surreal mixed media work was created on high quality 120lb watercolor paper and features a combination of acrylic paint, watercolor, pen, ink, and pencil. Inspired by a recent trip to Mount Rainier National Park, I created a dreamy background of mountains and clouds to envelop the lady lying in a bed of poppies and roses. The woman was inspired by a book I own which outlines the history and influence of ballerinas on fashion.
