Jacques Lalande was born in 1921 in the south of France in Provence.
He studied at the École Des Beaux Arts in Montpellier and the École Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris.
His subjects included high quality landscapes and beach scenes, often with children, which were his favorite subjects.
He worked in oil paint and in graphic arts, mostly lithography.
From 1950 he exhibited in galleries in France and abroad.
