Adorable 1940-50s French nightgown / chemise in a fine white coton with delicious detailing to collar and sleeves of petite faded pink roses fabric

There are 4 narrow flat tucks on either side of the collar (plis dits "religieuse")

The neck is square shaped and the elbow sleeves are a bit loose
the chemise was probably part of a home-made dowry, it was patiently machine and hand-sewn with some stitches to give to a corner of the collar, see photos, important part of the description

Very comfy, it measures 43.70"L x17.70" accross shoulders, loose style with hem measuring flat 31.50"
