high quality If you're a fan of vintage dinnerware and enjoy Asian design, it doesn't get much better than this Pekin Black Chintz pair of salt & pepper shakers. Produced by Royal Winton-Grimwades in England during the 1950's, this item is in excellent vintage shape. The tray is 6 across x 2+1/4 wide, while the vessels are 2+1/2 tall with a 1+1/2 inch square base. The artistry on these is stunning and it will be not easy to find them again in this condition with the original stoppers.

Although chintz ceramics have been produced since the 17th century, most American collectors are looking for the English chintz pottery produced from the 1920s until the late 1950s by factories like Grimwade's (Royal Winton), James Kent, Elijah Cotton (Lord Nelson) and A.G. Richardson (Crown Ducal).
