I took the source photo for this in the Assiniboine forest. I was on my bicycle and decided, on a whim to see where a fork in the blue trail led. There was a hill just around high quality the corner and this guy was standing at the top of it. I was able to get off my bike and creep closer taking pictures. Eventually he got bored and wanderer away without even lifting his tail up.
