Lovely vintage MerryThought teddy bear wearing a fabulous red vest, it would make a cute gift for that special someone, perhaps for Children's Day.
The bear is in wonderful condition for age, with some expected wear of course. This adorable bear retains it's original glass eyes and it's wee stitched nose is in great condition. The plush fur is a little thin in places, and the foot and front paws has been worn through the pad material, see photos. This bear does have a growler I believe, but it makes no sound, perhaps it could be repaired?
The vest is not, I believe, original to the bear, but has been loosely stitched on at the shoulders, and I thought he looked quite debonair with it, high quality so left it on.
The bear measures 16 inches tall. torso width, at widest part, measures 4.5 inches across. (Approx 41 cm tall by 11.5 cm at widest torso measurement)
