Baby Jesus sits on his mother's lap high quality on this Madonna and Child figure. The details are what make this piece so lovely. From the mother's toes to the flowers on her robe, great care has been taken in the making of this beautiful piece. The bottom is marked G 29. This piece looks like many of the depictions of the Madonna and child made by the Goebel company. But I can't be sure if they are the manufacturer. I've also seen similar pieces made by Hutschenreuther, and designed by C. Werner. It is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. Please click on the photos for a closer look.
This Madonna and Child measures 8" tall, 5" wide and 4" in diameter on the base.
