7 Pc Ceramic CIDER / BEER SET high quality ~ Pitcher w/ 6 Stein/Mugs ~ German Musical Pub Scene ~ Made in Japan ~ Mid Century ~ Pristine!

This is a vintage 7 pc ceramic pottery pitcher with 6 matching mugs/steins cider or beer set.

It is designed to resemble German stein ware that was made in Japan sometime mid century...probably 1950s or 60s. Each piece is marked on the bottom in black, "Made In Japan".

The pitcher is about 8 1/2" tall, 5 1/4" across the bottom and 4 1/4" across the high quality top. It is marked on the bottom, "3 PTS.". Each mug is 5" tall, 3 7/8" across the bottom and 3 1/4" across the top.

Each piece depicts a rollicking musical pub scene with people showing on one side and double pub doors on the other.

The colors are bright and cheerful with a neutral beige background and warm neutral earth tones, The pitcher has very light fine age appropriate crazing though nary a sign of it on the mugs. Obviously all hand painted under a nice still shiny glaze. No chips, dings or cracks anywhere...this set looks like it was never used and kept in a safe environment for many years.
