c1831 Coalport/John Rose Indian Tree squat melon shape Creamer Jug - transfer ware printed with chinoiserie pattern of pink flowers, branches and scalloped brown rim.
Coalport was one of the leading Potters of iconic designs in the 19th and 20th century.
The Pottery emerged around the 1800 in Shropshire, Staffordshire along with other leading Potteries such as Minton, Spode, Davenport and many others had established.
Founded by John Rose who had been apprenticed to Thomas Turner of Caughley.
Considering the age, the creamer is in excellent antique condition, except for a hairline inside the base which hasn't gone through. Please study the photos carefully.
The dimensions are 6” from handle to spout, 3 1/4” wide and 4” tall.
This magnificent collection belonged to an expert of 1750 - 1900 British Potteries, which he lovingly collected, catalogued and researched for over 50 + years.
