Sea Nettle Carnelian Brass Jellyfish Necklace

This piece is from my new "JELLYFISH" collection. I decided to make another Sea Nettle but in brass this time. The bright orange colors of the sea nettle fascinates me.

I made this jellyfish by first starting with the top of the body. First I cut out a circle from a sheet of brass. Then I heated up the brass and formed the top of the jellyfish into a dome. I had to heat the brass up a few times in order to get the jellyfish to the shape I wanted. (after you work on the metal, it starts to get hard and will not change anymore until the metal is heated up again.) high quality

For the body I made some brass swirly legs made from 16 gauge brass wire, heated wire up again and then gave the legs a hammered effect. I also added some all natural round carnelian beads, round light red carnelian beads, a few carnelian points and some electroplated gold hematite beads.

The necklace is approx. 3 1/4" x 3/4"

Carnelian is know as the "stone of energy and confidence" so it is an energy booster, and helps the insecure person to find strength within them so they can come into their own. Helps in the absorption of nutrients and the lymph system.
