Vintage Green Glasses with high quality Pyroglaze WLW Radio Personalities Images, Set of 8

Details: This set is a piece of radio history!  These are green glass tumblers with white pyroglaze enamel portraits, and signatures, of WLW Radio announcers and performers.  Each glass features a different person's portrait surrounded by signatures from others at the radio station.  Our glasses feature: Ruth Lyons, Sally Flowers, Bonnie Lou, Jane Lynn, a very young Bill Bailey, Spook Beckman, Willie Thall and looks like Peter Grant, hard to read.  All these personalities took part in the Midwestern Hayride series at WLW Radio in Cincinnati, which ran from 1930 to 1972.  We dated the glasses between 1940's to the 1950's based on the life history of those featured (yes we read each one, if you'd like information on any, please let us know, happy to share), plus the style of their hair and clothes.  The glasses are unmarked, they look like blown glass, they have no glass mold marks.  This is a beautiful set and a wonderful piece of American entertainment and radio history.  Because of all the white pyro against the bright green glass, they will really stand out in your bar or display case. They are the perfect size for Tom Collins.  Great gift for a radio buff, entertainment historian, or country music historian

Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent condition except for the Bonnie Lou glass, pyro has yellowed and shows some scratches, all other glasses look wonderful.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  All Sales Final.
