Vintage 1920’s Art Deco Wachenheimer high quality Chrysoprase and Sterling Brooch – Art Deco Jewelry – Vintage Jewelry

Vintage 1920's Art Deco Sterling Silver and Chrysoprase Rose Brooch. This lovely brooch features a gorgeous oval chrysoprase stone, set in a sterling silver frame. The setting features raise roses that high quality are exquisitely detailed. I have left the original patina and will let the new owner make the decision about cleaning the silver.

The marking was just too small for a decent phot. The pin is marked “Wachenheimer”. On the opposite side, it is marked Sterling. The brooch is 2 inches wide and 1 ½ inches wide. The back clasp works great.

Wachenheimer Bros. was located in Providence, Rhode Island and was in business from 1905 to approximately 1934, when they went out of business due to the Great Depression. In the late 1920's Wachenheimer Real Stone Jewelry was their focus. They used semi-precious stones such as chrysoprase, onyx, carnelian and lapis, which was mounted in sterling. Wachenheimer Jewelry is coveted by collectors.
