Morticia as a child was every bit as stunning as when she grew... and every bit as sinister! She knows things, weird things, strange things. When the other school girls were wearing the latest fashions Morticia chose black, always black... strangely Gothic and yet always the one to turn most heads.. sometimes a little bit to far turned round though! Weird!!!

Morticia is from a collection of cloth and clay high quality dolls, a cloth jointed body with clay face. Their style is more primitive, I wanted to create a creepy cute doll collection using a lot of upcycled and recycled fabrics and trims, wools and embellishments. I have a vast collection of vintage fabrics and these dolls are perfect for using those that I have collected over decades.

Morticia is dressed in vintage style naturally, a gorgeous satin black dress with black and white polka dot waistband and bottle green ribbon trim... and lace of course... there is always lace somewhere! Her bloomers are crisp white cotton, trimmed in black. Her stocking tights are black too, Gothic fishnets to match the whole ensemble. And black boots and green ribbons finish the look perfectly. Her wild childhood hair is tied in bunches with these ribbons... only time tamed it! And she has a love-heart I made for her, she carries it everywhere. It is a small padded heart, painted in red and black.. and on it she has declared her eternal love for Gomez who attends the boys school.... cute!
